Pierre Doussaint (1958-2013) at Bougou Saba, Siby, Mali, for the making of a new piece "Sissan Dedo".
Pierre died unexpectedly a few months later. We miss him terribly but his dance will live on.
"Sissan Dedo" will be touring in the Mandé region in November.

SOME OF OUR PROJECTS IN 2011:
Workshop for dancers at the Centre Togola, Sababilougou, Bamako, November
Working with the cultural center Bougou Saba, in Siby, Mali,
to organize workshops and residencies around exchanges in
traditional and contemporary dance and music
Contributing to the creation of Andréya Ouamba's latest piece "La Sueur des ombres", to be toured in central and western Africa and the United States
Film by Laura Longsworth on an American artist, Tom Luckey, who creates climbing structures for children and, despite a recent accident leaving him paraplegic, continues his work, the most recent being a piece commissioned by the Boston Children’s Museum.
An experimental dance project whose French choreographer has been involved for years in research in gesture in weightlessness. Kitsou Dubois, who has worked with the French and European space programs, has also received grants to visit NASA in Houston, to take a parabolic flight at the City of Stars in Russia, and to a 2-year residency in England on dance and new technologies. Her research is oriented around the sensitivity to interior sensations necessary to control movement in zero gravity. She leads unique training programs under water in swimming pools; the videos of these experiments are incorporated in her public artistic presentations.
The music was composed by Ghislain Hervet for 16th century French poems. The audience was convoked at midnight, and led through three different outdoor sites for the beginning, middle and conclusion of an event interpreted by a French-American cast in the south of France.
